Aerodrom has been updated to version 1.2.4.0. Customers will get the latest version with the automatic update feature.

What's new: Fixed slideshow playing: event notification similar to AppleTV. Fixed slideshow playing: slide duration now set by client. Fixed a WPF animation bug on photo transitions. Fixed connection problem with iOS 7. Updated Naudio to version 1.7.0.14. Updated libav to version 9.9.

iOS 7 functionality should be restored with this update. We only had limited time to test so please contact us if you have further problems with iOS 7.

Additional information on Aerodrom 1.2.0.1

Some customers had some problems with Version 1.2.0.1.
The Application didn't start because there was a missing Library.
Customers who experience this problem must install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012.  Please make sure you install the x86 version! even on x64 systems.
Maenwhile we have fixed the problem and included the needed files into the Aerodrom Installer.
To include this files in the installer we had to change the Windows Installer version needed to version 4.5.
If you have problems starting the installer on Windows XP systems please make sure you have Windows Installer version 4.5 installed.

We also identified a problem with the Aerodrom Windows Media Center plugin on Windows 7 Media Center. We are currently checking about the problem.

Changed audio playing engine. Improved video engine. Tested compatibility with iTunes11, iOS6 and Windows 8. Reenabled sync between multiple AirPlay speakers.(experimental)

This is a major update. We applied big changes to our video engine. CPU load should now be much lower during playback. We switched from ffmpeg to libav. Audio engine has also improved. This version should be much more stable and cause less crashes. Also long awaited fixes for problems with iOS 6 and iTunes 11 are addressed with this update. Windows 8 compatibility is tested too. We will continue to improve the quality of Aerodrom and we like to thank all customers who helped us with their bug reports.

What's new: Changed audio playback to reduce CPU load and improve quality. Fixed a bug in the license key handling.

This is a minor update. We fixed some bugs our customers reported especially during audio playback. There was a high CPU load which caused problems on lower performance systems. We improved audio quality as some customers reported noise or stuttering. Some customers had license key problems and therefore Aerodrom did not publish AirPlay or AirTunes. This problems are also fixed with this version.
We will continue to improve the quality of Aerodrom and we like to thank all customers who helped us with their bug reports.

This is a major upgrade for us. We implemented a whole new video engine based on the the fantastic libraries of the FFmpeg project. Video now supports HTTP live streaming (HLS) right out of the box. VLC player is not needed anymore and all users have the same video experience without the need for extra codec packs, which should also improve support.
We also changed our audio playback to the NAudio library. This is a major quality update in audio playback and also in stability. We also changed audio playback from iOS devices to use of AAC audio. This is like AppleTV and is pimary because of performance issues on iOS devices.
Album display info ist still broken for iOS devices. We will check on that when the new iOS 6 will be available.
Again we will continue to improve the quality of Aerodrom and a big thanks to all customers who helped further development with their purchase, input and especially bug reports or beta testing.

VLC 2.0.1 brings HLS to Aerodrom

As we recommend our customers to use the VLC player as player engine, we would like to inform you, that the VideoLAN organization has released their latest version 2.0.1. This new version fixes more than 120 bugs and brings the first time support for Apples HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) protocol to Aerodrom. With the support of HLS, Aerodrom is now able to AirPlay videos from many more apps than before to your Windows PC.

Transition to a new Webspace provider finished!

We had some difficulties with our Webspace provider recently, which suspended their service without any warning last week. We now moved to a new provider and this transition is now done.
Automatic update of Aerodrom is working again for those custumers which are still running a pre 1.1.4.0 version.
The checkout system is also working again. It is safe to buy again.

Some of the main improvements are that AerodromMCE is now automatic detecting Aerodrom. AerodromMCE does not need to be started - it is now started automatically and it stops playing other content.
We also added album info display, which apparently worked fine as we started with this feature on iOS 4.x, but stopped working with iOS 5.0.1 (this info is not transferred anymore). Apple TV users experience also problems with this feature, but it does work partially there. Anyhow album info display still works for playing from iTunes. Hopefully this will be fixed with iOS 5.1.
Video playback is still in our main focus. The release of VLC 2.0 helped only a little, because HTTP live streaming (HLS) is still not possible. Currently we put big effort in improving support for that and other currently unsupported formats.
We put many hours of development in the support of AirPlay mirroring, but we found that without further knowledge of Fairplay DRM we will unable to support this feature.
We will continue to improve the quality of Aerodrom and a big thanks to all customers who helped further development with their purchase, input and especially bug reports or beta testing.

VLC player 2.0 released

As we recommend our customers to use the VLC player as player engine, we would like to inform you that the VideoLAN organization has released their latest version 2.0. Aerodrom works with this version and it is no longer needed to install a beta version.

AerodromMCE Window Media Center plugin first version released.

AerodromMCE is a plugin for Windows Media Center.
It needs Aerodrom full version (1.1.0.0. at least) to work properly.
With the plugin enabled you can use AirPlay to stream content from your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch to your Windows Media Center (MCE).

Features: Video and pictures are displayed in Windows Media Center. Audio is still streamed by Aerodrom. No support for slideshow themes. (just simply dissolve)

Update: With the release of version 1.1.2.0 AerodromMCE is included in the installation of Aerodrom as a feature. No extra installation needed!
